Professional Data Survey with Power Bi

Analyzed survey data on data professionals by cleaning raw data using Power Query and creating interactive dashboards in Power BI, providing insights into trends and preferences of over 2000 respondents.

Steps we follow in cleaning and building the dashboard for this survey

Cleaning:

I used Power Query in Power Bi to do the cleaning and the following was the cleaning done:

1. Remove columns that are not needed

2. Split some of the columns using delimiters and digit-to-non-digit conversions to effectively use them, e.g., the salary column.

3. Replace values in some columns.

4. Add a custom column called Average Salary since some participants gave a range of their salary

5. Formatted date and standardized all columns

Dashboard:

Findings:

1. Females generally have higher salaries compared to their male counterparts

2. The average working age is 30 which means more young people are in the data space

3. USA is the highest paid country for data professions

4. Python is the best programming language for Data professionals who are not happy with their current salary

5. People are fair enough with their work balance
